Art of the Horse

Description

Art of the Horse is a collaboration between La Petite Provence and the Blue Ribbon Scholars (see https://blueribbonscholars.com). It consists of ten synchronous classes taught in person or online. It is an art history and a studio class, which explores how the horse has been portrayed in art since prehistory till now, in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Students will produce artworks in each class, inspired by the theme and the mediums of the day. Mediums include pencil, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, and polymer clay.
